This has been an on going topic for several years but before the Board could make any changes regarding this matter we had to amend our By-Laws. Finally, I’m thrilled to announce SOCALM’s By-Laws have been amended as of March 28, 2009. So here we go ZOOM ZOOM! The Board took a lot of time planning to make this change over go smoothly.
As SOCALM was founded in June 1990, it was decided that it would be appropriate to make June 2009 the month to start our Annual Dues. It will take a lot of work to convert over but I have every confidence we can do this! In the long run, this will make the process much easier.
Any New Members that join from now until May 31, 2009 will pay $25.00 and will have their membership expire June 1, 2010. If they join after November 30, 2009 their membership will be $15.00 for 6 months and will expire May 31, 2010; at which time, they owe $25.00 for a full year and so on! PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR NEW MEMBERS ONLY.
Renewals will be handled differently. We have figured out a quarterly system. Those of you that are due to renew June 1, 2009 through August 30, 2009 will pay $25.00 and can use PayPal. Here is how the Renewals will work.
• June 1, 2009 through August 31, 2009
$25.00 and will expire June 1, 2010
• September 1, 2009 through November 30, 2009
$18.75 and will expire June 1, 2010
• December 1, 2009 through February 28, 2010
$12.50 and will expire June 1, 2010
• March 1, 2010 through May 31, 2010
$6.25 and will expire June 1, 2010.
choose to pay through 2011 which will cost $31.25 and will expire June 2011.
If you have any questions I may be contacted on or after May 4. Before then, please contact someone else on the board, as they can all help you out! As you know the Reward also shows the current renewals.
