SOCALM’s 2008 Holiday Party will be at the Newport Beach Tennis Club December 13, 2007. I know this is quite a drive for some of you so I have also reserved rooms and suites at Ayres Hotel and Suites, Costa Mesa (a Non Smoking Property). The Aryes Hotel is the closest and easiest to access from the Club and by far the nicest. The locations are as follows:

I’m only holding 10 rooms if we need more I don’t think there will be a problem… As you can see the rooms are a better price this year! It might be smart to book one just in case; you can always cancel your room reservation up to 72 hours prior if you find your plans change! Hotel rates are based on double occupancy (same price for singles) including tax; this rate includes a full breakfast buffet. My only complaint with the hotel was a few of us wanted to indulge a bit before retiring and found the bar closed. If you want to continue the party BYOB or there is a 7 Eleven next door and a bar down the road.
The cost for the Buffet Dinner is $35.00 pp with a No Host Bar; dinner includes coffee, tea and soda. Our club treasury will be covering the additional meal cost. Such a deal!!!!! Don’t delay you won’t want to miss out…. I guarantee lots of giggles! Who knows what surprises I might have up my sleeve!
For those of you that are interested …… We will have our traditional $20 Steal-a-Gift Exchange. For you new members this gift must be Miata or car related. Toys, silly joke gifts and picnic items are also acceptable. Just keep in mind all items are to be car related.
